Nicolas Breil

Nicolas Breil is a Semiconductor Process Technology Senior Director at Applied Materials since April 2015, where expertise includes advanced CMOS process integration strategy and collaborations in foundry and memory technologies resulting in technical breakthroughs. Prior experience includes roles as Process R&D Senior Engineer and Engineer at IBM from March 2008 to March 2015, focusing on high volume manufacturing qualifications for 14nm and 22nm SOI technologies and the development of novel processes for CMOS technologies. Earlier, as a Research Engineer at STMicroelectronics from November 2004 to March 2008, contributions were made in process R&D and material characterization for various band-edge silicides. Nicolas holds a Master's degree in Physics/Material Science from INSA Toulouse and a PhD in Semiconductor/Material Science from the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology.
