Robert Jian is a Steering Project Engineer at Bruin Racing since January 2022, leading the development and integration of the steering system for model 22 while ensuring effective collaboration with Baja SAE subsystem leads. Previously, as a Driver Interface and Powertrain Team Member, Robert analyzed stress in key Powertrain components and assisted with the installation of cutting brakes for model 21. Robert also gained foundational mechanical engineering skills through participation in ASME, where familiarity with Solidworks and engineering processes was developed. Early work experience includes serving at Ben Tre Vietnamese Homestyle Cuisine, enhancing customer interaction and teamwork skills. Currently pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles, Robert's education complements hands-on project experience and technical expertise.
