Ryan Downey

Ryan Downey, Ph.D., is an Engineering Manager and Member of the Technical Staff specializing in mechanical engineering, with a robust background in semiconductor technology and aerospace propulsion. They have extensive experience with 19 patented or patent-pending inventions and have held positions at prominent organizations including NASA Jet Propulsion Lab and the United States Air Force. Ryan earned a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California, as well as multiple degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Physics from Rutgers University. Currently, they manage R&D labs focused on RF plasma-based systems at Applied Materials.
