Steven Sherman is a versatile executive with over 20 years of technology commercialization experience in the semiconductor, solar, and telecommunications industries. Currently serving as Managing Director and GM at Applied Materials, they oversee product development for novel semiconductor manufacturing equipment, driving engineering, marketing, and customer engagement. Previously, they held senior roles at companies such as Evergreen Solar, Intel Corp, and TEL Epion Inc., leading R&D and strategic marketing initiatives that resulted in significant advancements and cost reductions in technology development. Steven earned a BS in Applied Physics from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, complemented by executive education at MIT Sloan School of Management.
