Ryan Cubillas has a diverse work experience in the fields of web development, project management, graphic design, and entrepreneurship. Ryan started their career in 2000 as a Junior Web Developer and Graphic Designer at the State of California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. During this time, they worked on developing websites using ASP, JavaScript, XHTML, and CSS, while also focusing on web accessibility. Ryan also gained experience in poster design, collateral design, and large-format printing.
In 2008, Ryan joined Applied Microsystems, Inc. as a Developer, Project Manager, and UI Designer. Ryan'sresponsibilities included meeting with clients to determine their needs, setting project goals, overseeing project progress, and ensuring timely and budgeted completion. As a developer, they focused on building flexible, fully-functional, and elegant web applications using proven web standards and technologies.
Ryan also had a brief stint as the Founder of BarrioLife, a website that garnered significant public and media attention. The site showcased life stories, poetry, and other positive outlets for urban youth.
Prior to their role at the State of California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Ryan worked as a Graphics Assistant at Encore Graphics. Here, they gained experience in graphics production, including trade-show booth graphics, point of purchase materials, posters, banners, vinyl, and signs.
Throughout their work experience, Ryan demonstrated a strong foundation in web development and graphic design, as well as the ability to manage projects effectively and deliver high-quality results.
Ryan Cubillas has a diverse education history. Ryan attended the University of Alaska Anchorage from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Sciences. In 2005, they briefly studied at Alaska Pacific University. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2004, they attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks. In 2000, Ryan attended California State University-Sacramento for two years, focusing on Web Development & Management. Ryan completed their high school education at Lowell High School between 1994 and 1998.
