Brett Flowers has been working in the field of cyber security since 2009. Brett began their career in the US Navy as a Malware Analyst, where they reverse engineered binary code, statically and dynamically, using disassemblers and debuggers in support of Department of Defense infrastructure. Brett also developed mitigation strategies for armored, uncharacterized malware. In addition, they served as Division Work Center Supervisor, Department SharePoint Developer, and Division Volunteer Coordinator. In 2015, they joined Leidos as a Cyber Security Engineer. Brett is currently employed as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer at Applied Network Solutions Inc., where they began in 2018.
Brett Flowers attended Fort Pierce Westwood High School from 2000 to 2003, where they earned a High School degree. Brett also attended Indian River Community College from 2000 to 2003. In 2011 and 2012, they completed the Joint Cyber Analysis Course. Brett has also obtained certifications from EC-Council (CEH in 2018), (ISC)2 (CISSP in 2016), Cisco (CCNA), Linux Professional Institute (Linux+), and Microsoft Certifications (Microsoft Security Fundamentals).
