Yale Friend

Yale Friend is an accomplished electrical engineer currently employed at Applied Physical Sciences Corp since February 2024. Previously, Yale served as a hardware design engineer at Pure Storage from September 2019 to May 2023, contributing significantly to the FlashBlade System Hardware Team. Key achievements included sole design of an Intel-based CPU board and participation in bringing two additional boards to production. Yale also has experience as a teaching assistant at Brown University in both analog circuit design and digital electronic systems, as well as assisting in a music seminar. Prior roles include internships focused on data management and analytics, strategic planning for Booz Allen Hamilton, and a music counselor position at Buck's Rock Performing and Creative Arts Camp. Yale holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Brown University and completed an Academy Fellowship at J Leaders.
