Applied Precision Design is a small and innovative private engineering firm that specializes in the design and prototyping of custom precision mechanical systems for Research and Development.  Our projects are tailored to meet unique and complex requirements of our customers in diverse sectors such as Optics and Metrology, Semiconductors, Electron Beam microscopes, high vacuum, and bio-imaging systems.  APD’s mission is to empower scientists to develop new technologies that are important and meaningful for the world. Our office is in a convenient, fun, and urban setting in downtown Redwood City, CA (a block from Caltrain Station).  As a small company we offer a fun, flexible, and collaborative work environment while taking pride in producing high-quality work.
