Chris Nerney

Chris "Bert" Nerney is an experienced professional currently serving as Navy Customer Portfolio Manager at ARA since September 2023. Previously, Chris held the position of Technical Program Manager for the Battle Management System (BMS) at NSWC Dahlgren Division from September 2020 to August 2023, managing a $15 million portfolio of Navy projects. Chris has a distinguished career in the US Navy, retiring in July 2021 after serving in various leadership roles, including Commanding Officer of NAVWAR 0866 and Director of the Naval Amphibious Liaison Element at Al Udeid Air Base. Other notable positions include Technical Program Manager for unmanned systems and cyber programs at NSWC Dahlgren Division, and commanding officer roles within Navy Reserve units. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
