Tim Piety is an accomplished Principal Software Engineer with extensive experience in the defense and technology sectors. Currently serving at Nightwing since March 2024, a spin-off of Raytheon, Tim has also held notable positions as a Principal Software Engineer at Raytheon and in a similar capacity at Applied Signal Technology since March 2016. Prior to these roles, Tim worked as a Principal Software Engineer at WaveStrike from July 2018 to March 2019. Tim Piety holds a Master’s degree in Software Systems Engineering from the University of Maryland (1994-1996) and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the same institution (1988-1992).
