Simon Shu-Yu Wu

Simon Shu-Yu Wu has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Simon Shu-Yu most recently held the position of Associate Director of Technical Operations & Project Management at Applied StemCell. Prior to that, they were an Associate Director of Project Management at the same company.

Before joining Applied StemCell, Simon worked as a Senior Scientist II at AbbVie for over a year. Prior to that, they served as a Research Scientist at Stanford University School of Medicine for two years.

Simon also has extensive experience at Vanderbilt University, where they held multiple roles including Research Instructor and Postdoctoral Fellow. In these roles, they conducted research on various topics such as molecular chaperones, proteostasis network, and the role of chemokine GPCR in tumor progression.

Simon began their career as a Research Assistant at National Taiwan University.

Simon Shu-Yu Wu completed their Bachelor's Degree in Zoology at National Taiwan University from 1995 to 1999. Simon Shu-Yu then pursued a Master's Degree in Zoology/Evolutionary Genetics at the same university from 1999 to 2001. Subsequently, Simon attended Duke University from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biology, specializing in Developmental & Stem Cell Biology.
