Mandy Krumnow, PharmD, MBA

Mandy Krumnow has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Their current position is the Vice President of Medical Affairs at Applied Therapeutics, Inc., which they have held since March 2021.

Prior to their current role, Mandy worked at Takeda from 2019 to 2020 as the Head of Medical Training and Chief Medical Officer. In this dual role, they were responsible for designing a Global Medical Affairs organization after Takeda acquired Shire. Mandy also oversaw the proficiency and development of over 1600 Medical Affairs personnel worldwide. Mandy created the annual operating plan, managed a $10M budget, and developed the talent strategy for over 15 employees, managed services, and contractors across the globe.

From 2017 to 2019, Mandy worked at Shire as the Head of Medical Training for Global Medical Affairs. Mandy reconstructed and led the Medical Training function, overseeing the Medical and Scientific proficiency and Talent Development programs for over 600 Medical Affairs personnel worldwide. During their time at Shire, they created the annual operating plan and managed a multimillion-dollar budget for 13 global brands.

Mandy's experience also includes roles at Genzyme from 2012 to 2016, where they served as the Director of North America Medical Affairs and the Associate Director of Medical Communications for Global Medical Affairs. In these positions, they directed and oversaw various activities related to medical communications and engagement with key stakeholders.

Prior to Genzyme, Mandy worked at Biogen Idec from 2008 to 2012. During their time there, they held the positions of Senior Manager in Global Medical Affairs and Medical Science Liaison in Neurology for US Medical Affairs. In their roles at Biogen Idec, they played a key role in establishing the US-based segment of the Global Medical Excellence and Training Team and creating a strategic approach to medical training across all therapeutic areas.

Mandy Krumnow, PharmD, MBA completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences at Auburn University. Mandy then went on to pursue their Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) at Auburn University as well.
