Tina La has four years of work experience. In 2021, they began working at Applied Visions, Inc. as a UX/UI Designer. Prior to that, in 2020, they served as a UX Design Contractor at DeltaTrainer. In 2019, they were a Java & Python Programming Instructor at iD Tech Camps. Finally, in 2018, they were an Undergraduate College Fellow at Stony Brook University. At Applied Visions, Inc., they designed wireframes and interactive prototypes of new features for a variety of software projects and created and maintained design system documentation for large software projects. At DeltaTrainer, they interviewed users to assess user experience of DeltaTrainer’s fitness apps and designed a post-workout summary screen displaying detailed workout metrics and feedback with interactive graphs and tables. At iD Tech Camps, they instructed week-long summer camp courses for girls on Java fundamentals, game development with Processing, and robotics programming in Python with Cozmo. At Stony Brook University, they mentored 30 freshman students, co-created lesson plans with class instructor, and facilitated class discussions on personal development, social issues, and campus resources.
Tina La has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stony Brook University, which they obtained between 2017 and 2021. Prior to that, they received a NYS Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors and Mastery in Math and Science from Stuyvesant High School between 2013 and 2017.
