Beth Darnall, PhD, is an accomplished professional in the field of pain medicine and psychology. Currently serving on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Pain Medicine and co-chairing several committees, including the Behavioral Medicine and Opioid Advisory Committees, Beth has significantly contributed to advancements in pain psychology and behavioral health training. As Chief Science Advisor at AppliedVR and a scientific member of the Interagency Pain Research Coordinating Committee at the National Institutes of Health, Beth plays a crucial role in research and policy development. Formerly an Associate Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, Beth directed the Stanford Pain Relief Innovations Lab and led various NIH and PCORI-funded clinical trials. With a rich academic background, including a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder, Beth has held prominent editorial positions and leadership roles in multiple professional organizations.
