Justin Ison

Justin Ison has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and quality assurance. Justin is currently working at Applitools as a Product Manager since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer - Customer Success at Applitools from June 2017.

Before joining Applitools, Justin worked as the President of Isonic LLC Consulting Services from September 2016 to June 2017, where they provided consulting services to various companies. Justin recommended and implemented best test automation practices for Selenium web automation and developed test automation using the Python Behave cucumber framework for Science Logic and Discovery Communications.

Justin also worked at Microsoft as a Senior Software Engineer from June 2015 to September 2016. Their responsibilities included building and maintaining Web and Appium iOS and Android automation test suites, building and maintaining a mobile Selenium grid using Docker and Redis, and capturing essential metadata for test reports.

Before Microsoft, Justin worked at 6Wunderkinder as a Senior QA Lead Developer from January 2014 to June 2015. During their tenure, they built and maintained Appium iOS and Android automation test suites, configured Travis CI and Jenkins for continuous integration testing, and executed mobile automation in parallel with real devices and emulators.

Justin has also worked as a Consultant at Self-Employed from September 2013 to January 2014, where they co-hosted DCAST (DC Agile Testing Group) and developed Rails and iOS applications. Justin served as the Director of Quality Assurance at RideCharge/Taxi Magic from November 2009 to December 2013, where they managed a team of Software Engineers in Test and Test Engineers and coordinated manual and regression testing.

Furthermore, Justin worked at WorldTech International as a Senior Quality Assurance Consultant from April 2009 to October 2009. Justin established QA procedures and processes for a PHP government community search website and created automated test scenarios using Watir and Selenium.

Justin's earlier experience includes working at Jackson National Life as a Senior Quality Assurance Consultant from May 2007 to April 2009, supporting a managed accounts transaction-based trading system. Justin also worked at TD Ameritrade as an Integration Quality Assurance Consultant from September 2006 to May 2007, performing quality integration testing for the TD Waterhouse - Ameritrade merger.

Prior to that, Justin worked as a Senior Software Quality Assurance Consultant at Envision This, Inc. from June 2002 to July 2006, where they completed quality assurance testing for a multi-system startup brokerage website supporting a managed accounts transaction-based trading system.

Justin Ison attended George Mason University in 1999. It is unknown whether they obtained a degree or pursued any specific field of study during their time at the university.
