Patrick Beeson

Patrick Beeson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Patrick is currently working at Apploi as an Engineering Manager since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked at CrowdStreet from April 2022 to April 2023, where they held roles as an Engineering Manager, Team Lead, and Senior Software Engineer. From January 2014 to February 2015, Patrick served as the Director of Digital Strategy at The Variable. Patrick also worked at Wake Forest University as the Director of Digital Communications from December 2011 to January 2014. Patrick started their career as a Webmaster at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Research Institute from December 2010 to December 2011. Patrick later joined The E.W. Scripps Company and worked as a Project Manager from February 2007 to November 2008 and as a Content Manager from November 2008 to December 2010. Patrick also has experience in academia, working as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Tennessee School of Journalism and Electronic Media from October 2007 to May 2010, teaching courses on newswriting and managing news websites. Patrick began their career as a Web Application Developer and Online Production Editor at The Roanoke Times from May 2005 to February 2007 and from October 2006 to October 2006, respectively. Additionally, Patrick worked as an Editorial Intern at Randall-Reilly Publishing Co. from January 2005 to May 2005 and as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Alabama Department of Journalism from August 2003 to May 2005, where they taught journalism writing labs and new media courses, performed media law research, and served as a faculty advisor/editor for the student-run news website.

Patrick Beeson has a Master of Arts degree in Journalism from The University of Alabama. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from Appalachian State University. Before attending Appalachian State University, Patrick Beeson attended Fort Lewis College, but did not complete a degree there.
