Javier Alvarez

Javier Alvarez is an accomplished procurement and category manager with extensive experience in the construction and municipal services sectors. Currently serving as a Global Category Manager for Subcontractors at Applus+ since September 2025, Javier previously held the position of Procurement Manager at Constraula (Sorigué Group), where responsibilities included establishing the procurement department and overseeing major acquisitions and general costs. With a background as a Site Manager, Javier ensured the successful execution of projects from start to finish. Earlier roles include Senior Buyer at 011h and a background in hospitality as a waiter during university studies. Javier holds an Engineer's degree from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, an Executive Master in Operations and Innovation Management from Esade, and completed a Global Innovation Ecosystems Program at Seoul National University, alongside a Master's in Infrastructure Management from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
