Jose Francisco Ruiz Gualda

Jose Francisco Ruiz Gualda has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Jose Francisco is currently the Cybersecurity Business Unit Director at Applus+ Laboratories since 2024. Prior to this, they were the Co-Director and Co-Founder of jtsec Beyond IT Security from 2017 to 2022. Jose Francisco also served as the Member of the SCCG (Stakeholder Cybersecurity Certification Group) starting from June 2020. In addition, they held the role of Secretario at UNE - CTN320 - SC3 from November 2018 to January 2024. Jose Francisco has also been involved in various conferences such as ICCC, ICMC, and CISC, where they served as the Program Director from October 2018 to October 2021. Previously, they worked at Applus Laboratories as the Common Criteria Service Responsible and participated in international conferences as a speaker. Jose Francisco also worked as a Common Criteria Evaluator, FIPS tester, and Security Researcher at Epoche&Espri. Their career started as an IT Consultant at everis, where they worked as a programmer, mainly for Telefonica (now Movistar).

From 2001 to 2006, Jose Francisco Ruiz Gualda attended the Universidad de Granada, where they pursued a degree in Computer Engineering.
