Alex Kit

Director Information Technology Architecture at ApplyLogic Consulting Group

Alex Kit has over 20 years of experience in the information technology field. Alex began their career in 1990 as a Software Engineer at MAXM Systems Corp, where they designed and developed a X11/Motif user interface and underlying database. In 1993, they moved to ACS Inc. as a Lead Software Engineer, where they designed and fully developed the Tactical Voice Terminal (TVT) project for the Navy Research Laboratory (NRL). In 1995, they joined America Online as a Senior Web Systems Engineer and played a key role in the integration, scaling, and deployment of AOL's Global Network Navigator (GNN) Internet service. In 1998, they moved to MCI/WCOM/UUNET as a Web Design Engineer, where they were responsible for the evaluation of cutting-edge Internet technologies. In 1999, they joined Winstar Communications as a Senior Systems Architect, where they were the principal architect of the Internet Services Data Center network architecture. In 2001, they moved to Fannie Mae as a Senior Network Engineer and acted as a principal project lead and architect for the introduction and deployment of BlueCoat forward-proxy caches. In 2007, they joined SAVVIS Inc. as a Solutions Engineer, where they worked with multiple prospects and customers to deliver technical solutions. In 2009, they moved to Le-Arnold & Associates, Inc. - TSA Contractor as a Senior Network Engineer. In 2011, they joined CSC as a Security Engineering Team Lead, where they lead a security engineers team with responsibilities for multiple security products. Alex also joined ApplyLogic Consulting Group, LLC in 2011 as a Director of Information Technology Architecture, where they developed and deployed infrastructure, security, and application layer aware technologies.

Alex Kit completed a dual degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh in 1988, followed by an M.S. in Systems Engineering from George Mason University in 1993. Alex obtained a CCNP Security certification from Cisco in August 2012 and a CISSP certification from ISC2 in November 2004. Alex also holds CCNA, CISSP, and SANS certifications in Systems and Network Auditor (GSNA) and Security Essentials (GSEC).
