Tim Bach

VP, Engineering at AppOmni

Tim Bach is the VP of Engineering at AppOmni. Prior to joining AppOmni, Tim was a Security Engineer at Apple from September 2017 to July 2018, and before that, they were the Manager of Product Security at Salesforce from May 2012 to September 2017. In this role, they led a team of product security engineers and provided security coverage for several Salesforce products. Tim also worked with product teams to ensure that Salesforce products were secure from design through release. Other major projects they worked on included building out the security engineering function, focusing on product security automation, and redesigning and improving the secure development lifecycle at Salesforce.

Before their time at Salesforce, Tim was an undergraduate teaching assistant at Carnegie Mellon University from August 2010 to December 2010.

Tim Bach has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. Tim also has certification from the California Emergency Medical Services Authority in Emergency Medical Technician. In addition, they have certification from FEMA in ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-317, IS-700, IS-701, and IS-800.

Tim Bach reports to Brian Soby, Co-Founder & CTO. They are on a team with and Allan Jes Kristensen - VP, Solutions Engineering.
