Kenny Vu

Kenny Vu has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Kenny started their career at Appriss Retail in 2003 as a Software Engineer, where they played a key role in creating and maintaining Verify, a data-centric retail software solution. Kenny also developed a custom monitoring application to track uptime and performance metrics.

In 2010, Kenny became the Web Team Leader at Appriss Retail, taking responsibility for maintaining web applications and ensuring zero customer reported defects. Kenny was also involved in hiring and training new team members.

In 2013, Kenny was promoted to the role of Manager of Software Engineering, where they managed a team of software developers, testers, and DBAs. Kenny successfully led the development and delivery of Verify, which processes millions of real-time transactions per week for major retailers.

In 2018, Kenny was promoted to Director of Engineering, overseeing the engineering operations at Appriss Retail. Kenny held this position until April 2022, when they transitioned to the role of VP of Engineering, Engage. In October 2022, Kenny became the VP of Delivery at Appriss Retail.

Throughout their career, Kenny has demonstrated strong technical abilities and leadership skills in delivering high-quality software solutions for the retail industry.

Kenny Vu obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from UC Irvine, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended Santa Clara High School from 1993 to 1997. In terms of additional certifications, Kenny obtained the Sumo Logic Administration Certified and Sumo Logic Fundamentals Certified from Sumo Logic in October 2020. Kenny also earned multiple certifications from Dale Carnegie & Associates, including Advanced Management in May 2019, Leader Level 3, Strategic Level 2, Team Player Level 1, Trusted Advisor Level 1, and Effective Communicator Level 1 in April 2019. Additionally, they obtained the Innovator Level 2, Leader Level 1, and Strategic Level 1 certifications from Dale Carnegie Training in March 2019.
