Juan M Lopez

Juan M Lopez has over twenty years of experience in the downstream payment processing market. Juan M began their career in 1994 as Gerente de Sistemas at Protectolada. In 1998 they moved to The Warranty Group as a Team Leader and Programmer, where they were responsible for comprehensive database management and migration from Q&A system to Access, full development for Claims, Customer Services, productions department, applications, and full integrations of data form de DMV department from all USA into the system, for emailing and marketing purpose. In 2001, they worked as a Developer at Loyalty Marketing Services. In 2004, they joined Softtek as a Project Leader and Team Leader. From 2005 to 2015, they worked at BBVA USA as a Sr. Project Leader, where they were responsible for embedded systems, hardware and software level, HAL, HaaS, etc., payment network solutions and integrations, and strategic business plan & payment agents strategy development and integration. Finally, in 2015, they joined Appriza Pay as an IT Manager/Data Security Officer, where they were responsible for key technical architecture planning, designing & deploying to a cloud (Azure Cloud Solution Architect).

Juan M Lopez has an educational background in engineering and plastics. Juan M obtained an Ingeniero degree from Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Communications and Electronics between 1989 and 1993, and a Tecnico degree in Plastics from the same institution between 1986 and 1988. Additionally, they hold two certifications: a Web Application Architectures certification from Coursera obtained in September 2014, and a Certified ScrumMaster® certification from the Scrum Alliance obtained in April 2013.
