Lewis Strong

Lewis Strong has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Lewis began their career as a Customer Service Advisor at Banco Santander, where they developed their skills in providing quality customer service. Lewis then moved on to Hewlett-Packard as a Siebel Application Support, gaining expertise in Oracle Siebel CRM, Oracle databases, SQL, Unix, Shell scripting, and more. Lewis joined BPDTS LIMITED as a VME Remediation Delivery Lead, where they led the modernization of legacy VME systems using technologies such as Oracle databases, RHEL, Microfocus COBOL, and Oracle Tuxedo. Lewis then worked at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), focusing on Kubernetes platform for hosting DWP microservices and applications on AWS. Lewis is currently a Senior Platform Engineer at Appsbroker Ltd, responsible for helping businesses adopt Google Cloud, including migrating workloads and utilizing various Google Cloud services and tools such as CloudRun, Loadbalancers, Firestore DB, and Apigee X. Lewis also has experience in infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD using Terraform, Terragrunt, and GitHub Actions.

Lewis Strong attended Deyes High School, although the duration of their enrollment is not provided. Following their high school education, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Technology from Liverpool John Moores University from 2009 to 2012. Lewis obtained various certifications throughout their career, including ITIL Intermediate Continual Service Improvement Certification in January 2015, ITIL Intermediate Service Strategy Certification in September 2014, ITIL Intermediate Service Operation Certification in March 2013, and ITIL Foundation Certification in October 2012. Additionally, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2019. In more recent years, Lewis has acquired significant expertise in cloud technology, earning the Professional Cloud Architect certification from Google in March 2022 and the Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification from Google in January 2023.
