Yoona Wong

Yoona Wong is the current Vice President of People & Culture at AppZen. Yoona has over eight years of experience leading Human Resources functions for various companies. Prior to their current position, they served as the Vice President of Human Resources for Rakuten Rewards, the largest business unit within Rakuten Americas. In this role, they managed a team of HR business partners supporting over 1000 employees across North America, the UK, and Australia. Yoona was also responsible for all people initiatives including total rewards, talent management, learning and development, talent acquisition, employee engagement, employee relations, and HR systems and operations. Yoona has also advised and coached executive teams in organizational effectiveness and is certified in change management.

Before their time at Rakuten, Yoona Wong served as the Director of Human Resources for Ebates. In this role, they oversaw all HR functions for the company and was responsible for implementing new HR policies and procedures. Yoona also led HR M&A and integration activities.

Yoona Wong is a highly experienced HR professional who has dedicated their career to helping organizations build strong and successful teams. Yoona is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective HR programs that improve employee satisfaction and contribute to organizational success.

Yoona Wong has a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. in Political Science and Asian Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Yoona also has certification from Prosci in Change Management Certification, Thomas International in DISC PPA Facilitator, and the State Bar of California in CA State Bar (Inactive status).

Their manager is Anant Kale, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with Matt Wright - SVP Customer Success, Kunal Verma - Co-Founder & CTO, and Naresh Bansal - CFO.
