Martin Silveira has a diverse work experience in various roles in the energy and manufacturing industries. Martin started their career in 2008 as a Maintenance Analyst at FNC - Fabricas Nacionales de Cerveza and later became a Maintenance Manager. In 2011, they worked as an Engineering Manager at Glencore before joining Energía Renovable Tacuarembó (ERT - Fenirol SA) in 2012 as a Maintenance Manager, gaining experience in renewable energy.

In 2014, Silveira joined APR Energy as a Plant Manager, responsible for the power plant's safety, operations, and maintenance. Martin then progressed to become a Project Manager, overseeing multiple power plant projects in different countries. Martin further advanced their career at APR Energy as a Director of Plant Operations and later as Vice President, managing global operations and leading teams of up to 450+ people.

In their most recent role at APR Energy, Silveira served as the Chief Operating Officer, leading day-to-day business and plant operations, managing global P&L, and overseeing a team of direct reports and indirect reports worldwide. Martin was also responsible for budgeting, revenue management, and executive leadership.

Throughout their career, Silveira has gained extensive experience in managing P&L, leading teams, overseeing projects, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Martin Silveira's education history includes several degrees and certifications. In 2003, they enrolled at Universidad Católica del Uruguay 'Dámaso Antonio Larranaga' and completed a degree in Electronic Engineering in 2008. In 2013, Martin pursued a Postgraduate in Business Administration from the same institution. Later, in 2014, they enrolled in the Universidad Católica del Uruguay once again and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2015, with a focus on Business Administration and Management.

In 2023, Martin attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, earning a certification in "The Emerging COO: Driving Innovation and Operational Excellence." Martin also obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2018.
