Barbara Christensen

Barbara Christensen currently serves as a Bereavement Coordinator and Hospice Chaplain at Apreva Hospice since March 2022. Prior to this, Barbara held the position of Hospice Chaplain at DESTINY HOSPICE PALLIATIVE CARE SPECIALTY SERVICES from October 2019 to March 2022. Experience also includes a Chaplain Resident role at Sharp HealthCare, along with internship positions providing pastoral care in various settings. Barbara's earlier career features multiple management roles at San Diego Reader over a 26-year period and volunteer work at San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine. Barbara holds a Master of Divinity from United Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Journalism from San Diego State University.
