Laurent Gerardin has worked in various roles throughout their career. Laurent began their career at Gemplus as an IT Engineer, where they were responsible for managing IT security projects and administering security products. Laurent later moved to BNP Paribas, where they held multiple positions including Global Head of Cyber Defense and Global Head of Cyber Security Program. In these roles, they were responsible for incident detection and management, risk assessment, and compliance with regulations. Laurent also served as the Asia Pacific Chief Information Security Officer, overseeing the regionalization of the IT security organization. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Gerardin worked at ANSSI, leading the sectorial coordination division and acting as a link between the agency and major actors in the French economy. Laurent is currently working at APRIL as the Director of Group Cyber Security, where they are responsible for updating the cybersecurity strategy at the group and global level. Throughout their career, Gerardin has demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity and has been involved in various aspects of IT security, including policy development, risk assessment, and team management.
Laurent Gerardin completed a DEUG in Mathematics & Physics from Université de St-Jérôme (Aix-Marseille III) between 1994 and 1996. Laurent then pursued specialization in networks and received an Ingenieur en informatique degree from Polytech Marseille between 1997 and 1999.
