Alison Benson

Alison Benson is a highly experienced finance professional currently serving as a Senior Manager at Aprio since June 2025. Prior to this role, Alison held the position of Senior Manager at O'Connor Consulting Services from July 2016 to June 2025. Alison's extensive experience at National Geographic spans nearly a decade, where roles included Director of Finance & Planning for Education & Children's Media, Director of Finance & Planning in the CFO's Office, Manager of Corporate Finance, and Senior Cost Analyst in Corporate Finance. Earlier in their career, Alison worked as a Senior Accountant at ING Real Estate Development from August 2003 to July 2006, served as an AmeriCorps Volunteer with AmeriCorps from August 2002 to August 2003, and started as a Payroll Associate at Target from June 2001 to August 2002. Alison holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Mathematics, and Philosophy from the College of Saint Benedict, earned between 1997 and 2001.
