Michael Maksymiw

Michael Maksymiw, CPA CGMA MSA, currently serves as the Executive Director of the Aprio Firm Alliance, leveraging premier alliances to enhance innovation and growth for small and midsized CPA firms since October 2021. With a long-standing involvement in the Travelers Championship as Pro-Am Committee Chair since January 2003, Michael oversees the creation of exceptional experiences for sponsors during the tournament. Previous positions include CPA and Partner at Marcum LLP, and Principal at Filomeno & Company, where Michael led tax services and engaged in mergers and acquisitions. At Carney, Roy and Gerrol, P.C., specialized in tax and financial reporting for commercial entities, while also being a Quickbooks ProAdvisor. Michael has contributed to academia as an adjunct professor teaching individual income tax at the University of Connecticut. Educationally, Michael holds a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from Bryant University.
