Bowen Liu

Bowen Liu is Co-Founder, CFO & Director of IP at APstem Therapeutics. Bowen was previously a patent agent at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP from June 2016 to May 2017. Prior to that, they were a patent agent at David Lewis Patent Agent Office from February 2014 to May 2016. Bowen also worked as a patent agent / intern at Fernandez & Associates LLP from July 2013 to January 2014.

From December 2010 to January 2013, Bowen was a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University. Bowen was also a graduate student researcher at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine from August 2005 to April 2010, where they investigated the role of glypican 3 in liver regeneration and hepatocyte proliferation.

From January 2008 to December 2009, Bowen served as President of the Chinese Student and Scholar Association at University of Pittsburgh. Prior to that, they were a research assistant at the Institute for Research of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Beijing, China from January 2003 to December 2005.

Bowen Liu has a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Pathology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Bowen also has a BS in Biological Science and Technology from Tsinghua University.
