Michael Storm

Michael Storm has extensive work experience in software engineering and technical leadership roles. Their most recent position is as a Principal Software Engineer at AptEdge. Prior to that, they worked at Cruise as a Senior Software Engineer, where they made significant contributions such as improving cloud resource utilization and implementing automatic work deduplication. Before Cruise, they were a Founding Engineer at Grove, where they played a key role in building a personal finance web app and creating a scalable event sourcing-based data architecture. As the Founder and CTO of Aerovane, they developed a self-optimizing IaaS cloud platform and implemented the front-end and back-end technologies. Michael also served as a Founding Engineer at CareerWave.me, where they designed and implemented the technology stack for a career coaching platform. Michael started their career as a Backend Architect at Leeo, where they led the design and implementation of a cloud-based mobile/web backend for alarm monitoring devices. Michael also worked as a Software Developer at Cleversafe, rebuilding the client-side stack of a distributed storage system and creating a scalable Bittorrent interface. Additionally, Michael has experience working at CME Group as a Software Engineer and as a Summer Intern in R&D.

Michael Storm earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Computer Science with a focus on Theory of Computation from DePaul University. Michael attended the university from 2008 to 2012.
