Katy Almonte is a Design Release Engineer currently employed at Aptiv since July 2023, with previous experience at General Motors and Stoneridge in similar engineering roles. With a strong background in design and mechanical engineering, Katy has utilized various software applications for the development of design models and has overseen product outputs to address issues prior to launch. Earlier experience includes a tenure at Delphi as a Mechanical Design Engineer, focusing on product mechanical development and CAD modeling, as well as an internship in packaging engineering. Katy holds a Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering with a specialty in Product Design from Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez, a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and a certificate in Plastic Injection Molding from CENALTEC.
