William G. Rice

William Rice is a seasoned executive in the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as the Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Aptose Biosciences, Inc. since October 2013, following the company’s rebranding from Lorus Therapeutics, Inc. in September 2014. Prior to this role, William held leadership positions at Cylene Pharmaceuticals as both Chairman of the Board (July 2013 - April 2015) and in various roles including President, CEO, CSO, and Director from 2003 to 2013. William also founded Achillion Pharmaceuticals, where the individual served as President, CEO, and Director from August 1998 to August 2003. William Rice earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Emory University between 1981 and 1986.
