Giacomo Lanciano has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. In 2017, they worked as a Process Mining Researcher at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, where they developed an award-winning M.Sc. thesis on Planning-based methods for alignment-based conformance checking. In 2018, they served as a DevOps Engineer at Sense Reply, an innovative startup, where they were responsible for the development, testing, and deployment of an Edge Computing software stack using AWS technology. Later in 2018, they joined Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna as a Research Engineer, where they conducted applied research on AI-driven NFV operations in collaboration with Vodafone, resulting in multiple patents and articles. At Nokia Bell Labs in 2022, they worked as a Ph.D. Intern in Software Architecture Research. Currently, they are working at Aptus.AI as a Cloud Engineer, starting in 2023. Throughout their work experience, Giacomo has demonstrated expertise in various technologies, including Python, Bash, Docker, Ansible, AWS, and OpenStack.

Giacomo Lanciano began their education in 2012 at Sapienza Università di Roma, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science and Control Engineering. Giacomo completed their bachelor's degree in 2015. Giacomo then continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Engineering in Computer Science - Excellence Track between the years 2015 and 2017.

In 2019, Giacomo enrolled in the Scuola Normale Superiore, where they are currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Data Science.

Moving on to their additional certifications, Giacomo obtained the "Abilitazione alla professione di Ingegnere dell'Informazione (Sez. A)" certification from Sapienza Università di Roma in December 2022. In 2020, they earned a certification in Cloud DevOps Engineer from Udacity. Additionally, in 2017, Giacomo completed the "Process Mining: Data Science in Action" course with Honors, offered by Coursera. Furthermore, they hold certifications from PADI, including the "Advanced Open Water Diver" certification obtained in June 2008 and the "Enriched Air Diver (NITROX max 40% O2)" certification, also obtained in June 2008.
