Andrew MacLaren

Andrew Maclaren currently serves as a Cost Benefit Analysis Panel Member at the Bank of England, providing expert advice on cost benefit analyses related to new and amended regulations. In addition, Andrew holds the position of pension fund trustee at AQA, leading integrated risk management efforts. Previous experience includes roles as an actuary at the Government Actuary's Department, a senior actuary at Bupa focusing on Solvency II preparations, and an independent consultant at Mazars working on various technical projects. Andrew has also served as Interim Head of Asset Management at Bupa, developing a new risk framework, and spent nearly two decades at UBS Global Asset Management as Managing Director in various leadership roles. Andrew holds an MA in Economics from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Statistics from Birkbeck, University of London.
