Mark Bedlow

Mark Bedlow is the current CEO at AQA. Mark has also previously served as the Chairman and Director at Joint Council for Qualifications, and as the Director of Regulation and Business Performance, and Responsible Officer at OCR.

Bedlow has been instrumental in a period of unprecedented change for qualifications in the UK, and has played a key role in transitioning into the organisation further interim CEOs, and in the creation and implementation of OCR’s current strategy. Mark was also appointed as the first chair of the newly established Group Risk and Compliance Board, responsible for advising Cambridge Assessment’s corporate board on regulatory compliance, risk and risk management, business continuity and data governance (including GDPR).

Mark Bedlow has a BA in Economics & Accounting from the University of Leeds. Mark also has a certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in FCA. Mark is currently enrolled in the Advanced Leadership Programme at Cambridge Judge Business School.
