Andrew Wright

Andrew Wright has a diverse work experience in the software industry. Andrew is currently working as a Software Architect at AQR Capital Management since August 2019. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead at Millennium Management from February 2016 to August 2019. Andrew worked as a Senior Software Developer and Development Manager at RBS Markets and International Banking from December 2014 to February 2016. Before that, they were a Systems Design and Architecture Engineer at SunGard Securities Finance from July 2012 to October 2014. Andrew also held the position of Senior .NET Developer (Consulting title: Senior Manager) at SunGard Consulting Services from June 2007 to July 2012. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Systems Development Engineer at Barclays Global Investors from March 2005 to June 2007. Andrew started their career as a Software Engineer at AKQA in July 2004 and then worked as a Software Developer at Salient Systems Ltd from November 2002 to July 2004. Their first job in the industry was as a Software Engineer/Programmer at Campden BRI from May 2001 to November 2002.

Andrew Wright attended The University of Edinburgh from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a Bsc degree in Mathematics & Statistics. Andrew also obtained several additional certifications, including Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in December 2009, MCSD: Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer from Microsoft in September 2003, and MCP: Microsoft Certified Professional from Microsoft in October 2002.
