Martha Duarte

Martha Duarte is a dedicated and skilled medical professional currently serving as a Certified Dermatologist Technician at Riverchase Dermatology, where responsibilities include assisting in patient care and surgical procedures. Previously, Martha was a Medical Assistant at RADIUS TBI, coordinating patient care and managing medical documentation. At The George Washington University, Martha gained extensive research experience as a writer for the GW Undergraduate Law Review and as a research assistant in various laboratories, including the Center for the Advanced Study of Human Paleobiology and the iCHARM Lab. Additionally, Martha led the iGEM research team focused on biosensing properties in genetically engineered bacteria and served as a tutor and mentor for low-income high school students through Upward Bound. Advocacy work includes an internship at Autism Speaks, where Martha supported grassroots efforts in policy advocacy.
