Virender K. Sharma

Virender Sharma is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in gastroenterology and medical technology. As the Founder and Director of the Arizona Center for Digestive Health since January 2010, Virender Sharma has led a practice specializing in gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy. In addition, as Founder, Director, and Chief Medical Officer at Aqua Medical Inc. since November 2016, Virender Sharma has developed innovative vapor-based endoscopic ablation technology for gastrointestinal diseases. Other ventures include leadership roles at Attract Medical, AquaHeart Inc., AquaTherapeutics Inc., and EndoStim Inc., focusing on advanced treatment technologies for atrial fibrillation, obesity, diabetes, and gastro-esophageal reflux disease. Prior academic roles included Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic and Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
