Gilbert Kiprop, CPA, currently serves as a Senior Accountant at Aquaya since May 2022, focusing on project financial reporting and billing for reimbursement-based projects. Previously, Gilbert was the Finance Lead at Access Afya from May 2017 to May 2022, where responsibilities included timely preparation of financial reports and managing the annual budget. Earlier experience includes roles as an Accountant at GEMS Cambridge International School, where tasks involved accounts payable and vendor reconciliation, as well as a Finance Associate at Bridge International Academies. Gilbert holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, both from the University of Nairobi.

The Aquaya Institute is a non-profit research and consulting organization. We deliver knowledge and tools to help achieve universal access to safe water. Aquaya strengthens public and private delivery of clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) access in developing countries by combining cutting edge research with strategic consulting. Founded in 2005 by two PhD scientists, Aquaya’s goal is to bridge the divide between academic research and field implementation of measures that expand access to safe drinking water.
