Youssef Chaker has a diverse range of work experience. Youssef started their career as a freelance consultant in 2012 and continued freelance work in 2013 and 2015. In 2013, Youssef also worked as a software developer at Keeward, where they built WordPress sites and developed plugins. Youssef became a senior developer at Keeward in 2014, where they mentored a developer and helped grow the team. Youssef served as a lead developer at Keeward in 2014 and 2015 and was responsible for recruiting and training new talent.

In 2015, Youssef founded Bear & Giraffe LLC and served as a fractional CTO for 5 female-led startups. Youssef guided them through technical roadmaps, built minimum viable products, and mentored 6 female developers. Youssef also worked as a solutions architect for small businesses during this time, helping them increase annual recurring revenue by building and maintaining internal tools.

Youssef served as the CTO of Faire Inc., an online marketplace connecting conscious consumers with ethical brands and artisans, in 2018. Youssef provided technical guidance and migrated the e-commerce site from Shopify to a custom shop. In the same year, they also served as the CTO and technical advisor for JuiceBox Hero, a platform supporting families in finding daycare.

In 2019, Youssef joined PowerSchool as a software architect, where they mentored a junior team and collaborated with various departments to launch a product and acquire new clients. In 2020, they became the lead software engineer at Dealerware, where they led the engineering team and collaborated with other teams to deliver a feature leading to a significant partnership. Youssef implemented best practices for serverless architecture with Ruby at Dealerware.

Youssef's most recent role was as VP of Engineering at CarServ in 2021 and 2022. Youssef led and completed projects in sales, user experience, and product, establishing new engineering processes and increasing deployment frequency. Youssef managed budgets and established the team's vision.

Throughout their career, Youssef has gained expertise in Ruby on Rails, PHP, Node.js, and various other technologies. Youssef has demonstrated strong leadership skills, mentorship abilities, and the ability to guide startups and small businesses in their technical development.

Youssef Chaker started their education at Carmel Saint Joseph in 1989 and completed it in 2001. Although they did not earn a degree during this time, the field of study is unknown. Following this, Youssef attended Lycee Abdel Kader from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained their high school diploma. Youssef then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering at Northern Virginia Community College from 2004 to 2005. Finally, Youssef furthered their education at the University of Virginia from 2005 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering.
