Yaaqob Yubwannie

Yaaqob Yubwannie has over 25 years of experience in the industry. Yaaqob began their career in 1996 as an Automated Test Equipment Engineer at Nortel Networks. In 1999, they were promoted to Engineering Manager at Nortel Networks. Yaaqob then moved to Ariel Networks in 2003 as a Project Manager. In 2007, they joined Lockheed Martin Space Company as a Senior Project Engineer, where they worked until 2012. From 2012 to 2018, they were an IT Analyst at Duke Health and Technology Systems. Yaaqob then joined BioMérieux in 2018 as a Documentation Specialist. In 2019, they became an Operations Manager at Aqueti. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Business Owner.

Yaaqob Yubwannie has a diverse educational background. Yaaqob obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University between 1990 and 1995. Yaaqob then attended Durham Technical Community College between 1985 and 1986, where they obtained a degree in Digital Electronics & Computer Repair in the field of Electrical/Electronics Equipment Installation and Repair, General. Yaaqob returned to Durham Technical Community College in 2009 and 2010 to obtain a BioWorks degree in Biology Technician/Biotechnology Laboratory Technician. Additionally, Yaaqob has obtained three certifications: Blockchain Basics from LinkedIn in January 2020, Strategic Thinking from LinkedIn in March 2019, and ITIL Foundations V3 in March 2012.
