Duncan Metcalfe

Duncan Metcalfe is a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer at Aquila Nuclear Engineering Ltd since June 2012, leading a team of approximately 20 engineers and overseeing the creation and approval of various engineering documents, including risk assessments and technical specifications. Previous roles include Senior Mechanical Design Engineer and Mechanical Design Engineer at Thompson Valves Limited, as well as Systems Configuration Analyst at NATS, where Duncan ensured backup systems for the air traffic control centre were operational. Early career experience encompasses mechanical design engineering positions at Begley International and Aeromatic-Fielder. Duncan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Design Engineering from Solent University, completed in July 2002.
