Jeff Greenberg

Jeff is chairman and chief executive officer of Aquiline. Jeff started Aquiline after years of executive leadership in the insurance sector. Before founding the firm in 2005, he was chairman and chief executive officer of Marsh & McLennan. Earlier in his tenure with Marsh, Jeff led the company’s private equity business, MMC Capital. Jeff also spent 17 years at AIG in various executive roles, including executive vice president of AIG’s domestic brokerage group.

Jeff serves on the investment committees for the AFS, ATG and ACO fund families and serves on portfolio company boards across the firm’s investment areas.

Jeff is a trustee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and of New York-Presbyterian Hospital, a member of the board of overseers of Weill Cornell Medical College, and a member of the board of Starr International Foundation. He also serves on the boards of C.V. Starr & Co. and Starr International Company, Inc. He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the Council on Foreign Relations, and a fellow of the Foreign Policy Association.
