Alicia Córdoba

President at Aquinas College

Alicia Córdoba is the President at Aquinas College. Alicia has previously served as the Inaugural Beirne Director and Distinguished Chair of the Center for Catholic Studies at St. Mary's University from June 2018 to February 2022. Prior to that, they were the Assistant to the President for Mission Integration and Director of the Center for Mission and Identity at Benedictine University from January 2012 to December 2017. In this role, they served as the chief mission officer of a Catholic Benedictine university with three campuses in Illinois and Arizona, providing leadership in the design, development, implementation, evaluation and coordination of programs and activities that supported all employees in aligning and advancing the Catholic and Benedictine identity of the University. Alicia also stewarded all Center for Mission and Identity (CMI) functions by implementing systems to ensure sound fiscal management, positive interactions with constituents, and effective management and supervision of facilities and allocation of resources. Alicia has represented the University with the Association for Benedictine Colleges and Universities (ABCU), the Association for Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU) and local ordinaries (Abbot, St. Procopius Abbey and the Bishops of Joliet, Springfield and Phoenix.) Alicia served as staff liaison to the Mission Integration Committee of the Board of Trustees and Mission Advisor on the President’s Advisory Council.

Alicia Córdoba has a Doctor of Musical Arts from The Juilliard School in English horn Performance, a Master of Music from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Oboe Performance, and a Bachelor of Music from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Oboe Performance.
