Brian Thompson

Brian Thompson is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the hospitality and events management sectors. As the Chief Executive Officer of Addington Raceway & Events Centre since February 2011, Brian oversees a leading multipurpose racing and events venue that caters to over 250,000 visitors annually, managing a diverse team of full-time and part-time staff. Prior roles include General Manager of Operations at the same organization, where Brian directed strategic initiatives and fiscal management across multiple venues. Brian also contributes as a Board Trustee for Satisfy Food Rescue, Advisory Board Member at Laing Property Ltd and Ara Institute of Canterbury, and previously served as Director for Eventful Hurunui. With a solid educational foundation, including a Master of Business Studies from Massey University and a Company Directors' Course from the Institute of Directors in New Zealand, Brian brings robust leadership and management expertise to their roles.
