Grant Bennett

Grant Bennett is a Senior Academic Staff Member at Ara Institute of Canterbury, serving in various leadership roles, including Academic Manager and Program Leader for the New Zealand Diploma in Applied Science and Graduate Diploma in Laboratory Technology, since July 2012. Previously, Grant owned Bennett Scientific Services from March 2011 to March 2015, providing research and consulting in applied sciences, with expertise in biotechnology, nanoparticles, microbiology, and food safety. Additionally, Grant was a Contract Lecturer at Lincoln University from February 2010 to November 2011, recognized in the top 10% of lecturers based on student feedback. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Disease Microbiology from Lincoln University (2012) and MSc and BSc degrees in Microbiology, Genetics, and Zoology from the University of Canterbury (2002, 2000).
