Kumaresan Chidambaranathan, PhD, serves as the Manager of Library & Information Services at the Ara Institute of Canterbury since November 2017. With extensive experience in academic libraries, previous roles include Chief Librarian at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Head Librarian for the Academic Bridge Program at Qatar Foundation, and Senior Librarian at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani Dubai. Starting a career as a Lecturer at Bishop Heber College, Kumaresan also holds a Doctorate in Library and Information Science with a focus on Knowledge Management and Organizational Culture from Bharathidasan University, along with an M.Phil from Alagappa University and an MLIS from Bharathidasan University. Additionally, Kumaresan has acted as an adjunct faculty member and research guide for postgraduate students, overseeing eight research projects and dissertations.
