Shayle Tasker

Shayle Tasker is a seasoned educator and network engineer with expertise in ICT, computer networking, and system administration. Currently a Lecturer in the Computing Department at the Ara Institute of Canterbury since April 2016, Shayle previously instructed at CPIT, focusing on Cisco certification courses from February 2012 to March 2016. With over 15 years of experience as a Senior Customer Support Network Engineer at Allied Telesis, Shayle cultivated strong problem-solving and communication skills while managing complex customer issues. Earlier career experience includes 13 years as a Senior Communications Engineering Technician at ALSTOM, maintaining critical communication systems for Transpower. Shayle holds multiple qualifications, including a Bachelor of Information and Communication Technologies and a NZ Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching.
