Farhan Abu Leil has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Farhan began their career as a Computer Specialist at AJIG Insurance, where they provided support for insurance business applications and computer systems. Farhan then worked at Orange - Jordan Telecom Group as a Specialized Programmer, Team Leader, System Integrator, and Project Manager, where they managed projects, analyzed business requirements, and designed technical solutions.
After that, Farhan worked at IT&T SIG as a ProjectWorld Canada - Toronto Event Manager, where they managed events and conferences. Farhan later joined Nexus Creative Solutions Inc. as a Project Manager, leading teams to deliver marketing-related programs and custom CRM solutions.
Farhan then worked at Professionals for Smart Technology (PST) as a PMO Manager, where they prepared and implemented business solutions across the MEA region and developed go-to-market strategies for cloud and payment solutions. Farhan also served as an Industry Professor at German Jordanian University, teaching and sharing industry knowledge.
In 2012, Farhan joined Mobily as a Project Manager, responsible for delivering projects under the Business Process Automation Program and leading teams in digital marketing projects. Farhan then joined souq.com as a Project Manager (Telecom Consultant), managing the delivery of an eShop and developing eCommerce offerings for partnerships with large enterprises.
In 2015, Farhan joined Arab Bank, first as the Head of RegTech and later as the Vice President - Head of Regulatory Technology (RegTech). In these roles, they oversaw regulatory technology initiatives and implemented best practices.
Most recently, Farhan joined MENA Financial Crime Compliance Group (MENA FCCG) as the Co-Chair of the AI Working Group. Farhan'sresponsibilities include establishing and managing the working group, sharing AI best practices among member banks, and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of existing financial crime compliance programs.
Farhan Abu Leil completed their education in a systematic manner. Farhan began by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Jami'at Al-Zaytoonah Alordunia Al-Khassa between 1993 and 1998. Prior to that, they attended Al-Hussein College between 1991 and 1993, focusing on the Scientific Track. Farhan's academic journey continued, and they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the New York Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2011.
